Darmit M. Kumar completed his Bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Porto, Faculty of Sciences, in 2021. He then pursued his Master's in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at the same institution, graduating in 2023. Eager to enhance his Data Science skills, Kumar also completed the course "Analysis and Exploration of Data in R". 

He is currently a research fellow at i3S, contributing to the Genetic Diversity (GD) research group. His primary focus is on studying genetic predisposition to disease and the genetics of complex diseases. As part of his scientific outreach, Kumar provides guided tours for high school students in an exhibition related to the project "Human diversity along the Magalhães Circum-Navigation Space: genetics, history and culture". Additionally, he is supervising a curricular internship.
