Gonçalo holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL) and he is currently attending the second and final year of the Master's programme in Biochemistry at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC).
He has always been fascinated by the fields of health and human diseases and he has grown to develop a particular interest in cancer research. At the moment, Gonçalo is operating with Triple-Negative Breast Cancer and he strive to work towards a better understanding of its heterogeneity and the metastasis phenomenon, as well as to contribute to the development of novel targetted therapies and strategies to improve clinical management and patient's quality of life.
