What personal data are collected/processed during your use of our website?
Your visit to our website will be logged. The IP address currently used by your device, date and time, the browser type and operating system of your device and the pages accessed may be recorded. This data is collected for the purposes of optimizing and improving our website as well as for security issues. The processing is legally based on legitimate interest as it is in our legitimate interest to protect our website and improve its quality. Beyond this, your personal data is only stored if you provide it to us on your own account, e.g. to register for Ipatimup events, to apply for a job, to provide feedback regarding a service provided by Ipatimup Diagnostics, to register a company for placing requisitions for scientific services. Details regarding collection of personal data when using our website are provided below:
a) Registration in Ipatimup Events:
if you wish to register for an Ipatimup organized event you will be directed to an i3S link (https://www.i3s.up.pt/incoming-events-list.php) where you will be asked to fill in a purpose-made registration form. This form will only include the minimum necessary personal data for the purpose of your registration/participation. For additional information, please read the privacy policy of i3S.
b) Applying for Ipatimup job opportunities:
If you wish to apply for a job opening announced at Ipatimup you will be directed to an i3S link (https://www.i3s.up.pt/job-opportunities.php) where you will be asked to fill in a purpose-made registration form. This form will only include the minimum necessary personal data for applicant assessment. For additional information, please read the privacy policy of i3S.
c) Providing feedback regarding an Ipatimup Diagnostics service:
If you have used/are using a service provided by Ipatimup Diagnostics, you may be asked to fill in a customer satisfaction survey in order to provide us with feedback regarding that service (https://www.ipatimup.pt/diag/satisfacao/). There are surveys aimed for health professionals and institutions, as well as for private customers. The information provided in these surveys is anonymous, unless a person wishes to provide his/her name (for private customers), or name and/or institution (for health professionals). 
d) Registering a company for placing requisitions for scientific services: 
In order to request certain scientific services from Ipatimup, companies are asked to fill in a purpose-made registration form (https://www.ipatimup.pt/CustomersReqMgr/MainEntry.aspx?CompanyId=1) which will then allow them to login with credentials selected by the used. This form will only include the minimum necessary data, most of which is related with the company itself. In terms of personal data, only the name and contact (email, telephone number) will be requested. In addition, the date, hour and IP address submitting the application is also saved.  
e) Accessing “Consultar Diagnósticos” Area: 
Customers of Ipatimup Diagnostics can be issued a user account to access their specific personal information or information they are authorized to access. Access to this Area is granted by specific Ipatimup Diagnostics staff, at the request of the user who requests the credentials to access this tool. Only personal data relevant to the creation of a user area in this tool are requested.
f) Accessing Ipatimup Personal Area/helpdesk: 
Only Ipatimup members can be issued a user account to access their personal area/helpdesk. This will be performed by the Informatics Unit. Only relevant personal data is requested to users who will provide it on purpose made forms.  
g) Cookies 
 To make your visit to our website more pleasant and to enable the use of certain functions, we may use “cookies” on various pages. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session. Other cookies remain on your device and enable us, or our partner companies, to recognize your browser on your next visit. The personal data collected by this website are stored at local Ipatimup servers.

Only specific Ipatimup staff involved in the process of fulfilling the purpose for which the data has been collected will have access to the personal data you submit when using our website. Ipatimup may need to share your data with specific data processors that process personal data on our behalf, in which case specific data protection clauses are implemented between the partners in order to guarantee that your personal data remains secure. Ipatimup will not disclose your personal data with other entities, unless required by law or by the competent authorities.

For how long are your personal data stored?
Personal data provided to us via our website will only be stored until the purpose for which they were processed has been fulfilled, for the minimum legally required time and/or until the data subjects remove their consent.

As data subject you have the right to file a complaint about our use of your information to Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, our competent national supervisory authority, at https://www.cnpd.pt.
