Irina Amorim graduated in Veterinary Medicine at ICBAS, University of Porto and obtained a PhD degree in Veterinary Sciences in the same University. Her main field of expertise is Veterinary Pathology.

Highlights

Currently, and within the field of veterinary pathology, is developing intense research work in the area of gastric pathology, studing particularly Helicobacter spp. infection and gastric carcinogenesis in pets.
Collaborates activelly with other research groups in comparative breast cancer.
Participates in multidisciplinary research projects focused on the development of products in the areas of regenerative medicine and cellular therapies, including the use of biomaterials and application of stem cells.
