Short CV

My name is Catarina Marques, I hold a BSc (2017) and Master (2019) degree in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. In 2024, I completed my joint PhD studies in “Chimie - Biologie” from the University of Grenoble-Alpes (France) and in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Porto (Portugal). In recent years, my scientific focus and curiosity have gravitated toward understanding the regulatory mechanisms of cellular glycosylation, specifically those underlying glycosaminoglycan biosynthesis, and how these impact cancer cell surface remodeling and malignant behavior.
