Mélanie Barbosa holds a BSc degree in Biology from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (2015). In 2017, she completed her MSc degree in Toxicology and Environmental Contamination at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of Abel Salazar. In 2019, she joined the Cancer Drug Resistance group of the Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology of the University of Porto (IPATIMUP/I3S), as a Scientific Research Fellow working on the project "Biomarkers for minimal residual disease". In 2020, she was granted a PhD scholarship by the FCT to work on the Project titled “Modern 3D drug screening methodologies for the identification of novel antitumor drugs capable of counteracting multidrug resistance in cancer”.
